Chronic Venous Disease
It occurs when veins in your legs and feet are damaged. As a result, these veins can’t manage blood flow as well as they should, Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) causes blood to pool in your leg veins, leading to high pressure in those veins.
How can it affect me?
Chronic Venous Insufficiency can happen due to damage in any of your leg veins. These include the following:
Main Symptoms

Spider veins.
Stage 1 -
Full or heavy feeling in your legs.
Stage 2 -
Flaking or itching skin on your legs or feet.
Stage 2 -
Burning, tingling or “pins and needles” sensation in your legs.Stage 2

Visible varicose veins.

Cramping in your legs at night.

Edema (swelling) in your lower legs and ankles without skin changes.

Varicose Veins
Varicose veins are the result of Chronic Venous Disease (CVD), characterized by venous hypertension, you may experience swollen legs, heaviness, itching and if left unthreatened, complications as venous thrombosis, bleeding or varicose ulcer may appear.
Venous reflux detected
When venous reflux is detected by doppler ultrasound, an intervention is recommended to increase quality of life and reduce the possibility of complications.
Surgical Intervention
The intervention is performed by endovenous embolization of medical degree glue under ultrasound visualization (CEA).
